Getting Around

Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city of Launceston, Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston offers a distinctive blend of history, culture, and community spirit.

From the airport you can travel via car, public transport or shared car. It all takes about 20 mins to arrive at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston.

City of Launceston operates the free Tiger Bus service, transporting commuters and travellers alike from Inveresk Railyards into the City and back. The service loops every 30 minutes. Keep an eye out for the buses with the distinctive black stripes of the illusive Tasmanian Tiger.

Gala Dinner

Get ready to celebrate in style at the 35th ARNA Conference in Launceston, where our Gala Dinner will once again bring delegates together for a memorable night of connection and fun. While the venue is still to be confirmed, you can expect an evening filled with great company, delicious food, and the warm hospitality Tasmania is known for. More details will be announced soon, and Gala Dinner tickets will be available to purchase during the registration process.

The riverside city of Launceston has a streetscape brimming with elegant colonial and Victorian architecture, interspersed with century-old parks. Its vibrant food and wine scene has recently transformed the city. Launceston’s Seaport precinct is the perfect place to enjoy a stroll along the riverside boardwalk with a variety of cafés, bars and restaurants.

Accommodation

Onsite accommodation is available at Hotel Grand Chancellor. There are discounted accommodation rates for conference delegates - but room numbers at these rates are strictly limited.

Dietaries

The Conference Organisers recognise that some delegates may have special dietary needs. Please advise the Conference organisers via the registration form. 

Please Note: Dietary requirements received less than 72 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed.

First Timers

It can be daunting coming to a conference for the first time. But don't worry! We can buddy you with an ARNA conference committee member, who will look after you! 

Just advise you are a first timer in the

registration process.
